With the whole family gathered in one place, now is the perfect time to snap a family pic! We specialize in large, multi-generational portrait sessions that capture the variety of your family. We make sure everyone walks away with a memorable photo.

What to expect

Coordinating the group is hard — managing your session is easy!

We know how challenging it can be to have everyone on the same schedule. At Flamingo Photographers, we’ll do our best to find the right time, the right place, and the right poses for everyone in your family.

More than just “one big group”

Looking for more than a holiday-card picture? We plan for more than just a group photo — our photographers divide the group into smaller parts: it’s the whole group, then the grandparents with the grandkids, each little family, the cousins, the siblings, and so forth.

Where we shoot

What beaches are the best for big groups?

Large families need room on the beach to spread out, easy parking, and a short walk to the sand. The wide beaches at the north end of Anna Maria Island handle multi-generation groups beautifully, the shorelines up on Longboat Key leave no shortage of space, and Sarasota’s South Lido gives the whole crew space to relax between groupings. We’ll match the spot to your headcount and logistical needs.

Extended Family Photos FAQs

How many people can you photograph?

We photograph everything from small families to full reunions. Tell us your numbers and we’ll plan the time and the groupings so everyone is covered.

Can everyone get the photos?

Yes — the online gallery can be shared with the whole family, so every household can download their favorites.

What’s the best time for a big group?

Late afternoon into sunset is ideal — cooler, prettier light, and easier on little ones and grandparents alike. We’ll pick a beach with easy parking and access for everyone.
