Family photo session FAQs

What should we wear for our session?

Solid colors in a soft pastel palette photograph best — light blues, tans, whites, pinks, and yellows. Skip patterns, stripes, prints, logos, and bright, bold colors, and coordinate with your group rather than matching. Unsure? We’re happy to talk outfits when we plan your session.

When is the best time of day for photos?

The hour before sunset is the gold standard on the Gulf Coast — warm light, soft shadows, and cooler beaches. Golden-hour (sunset) time slots add $100 to any package. Mornings are a great fee-free alternative, especially for little ones who fade in the evening.

How does booking work?

Send an inquiry through the booking form and we’ll confirm availability, location, and your photo plan — nothing is locked in until it all works for you.

We’re awkward in photos — will you help with posing?

Absolutely! We give clear prompts and simple direction so you look natural — no stiff posing required.

How far in advance should we book?

Two to three weeks ahead is usually plenty. Sunset slots go fastest in spring and around the winter holidays, so if your dates are fixed, earlier is safer.

What happens if the weather turns?

Florida weather moves fast, and we won’t gamble your session on it. If conditions aren’t safe or won’t photograph well (heavy rain, lightning, high winds), we’ll re-time or reschedule together at no charge.

Do you photograph big or extended families?

All the time — extended family sessions are one of our specialties. Tell us your headcount and we’ll recommend the right session and a location that fits the whole group.
